As the Ally Pally crowd are largely fairweather mongs and not dorki like us, she will get a great reception. 90% of the crowd are there for a pissup, see the famous faces etc, they don't give a fuck how you make it there. Her opponent will be booed and whistled, which rubs salt in the wounds further.
His todger will be red raw tonight.Safc wrote:Chris Murphy's twitter is a sight to behold
Deep down we all knew this was comingDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:19 pm I don't know what to think of this on Sherrock's perspective.
On one hand, you're never gonna pass up a pay day like this, play at Ally Pally. She's clearly good enough on any good day to beat a ProTour player who's off form is off. She'd get mullered by a Rock or a Lewis, but she'd have an okay chance vs a John O'Shea or Gawlas, if she played well. So the incentive to play is there.
But on the contrary
She should know deep down she does not deserve this chance, on 2022 form and ever, in these circumstances. The amount of opportunities she's been given on the World Series, now this, if she really thinks this is deserved, especially after losing a virtual playoff with Greaves, then it's a self-entitlement problem. In her scenario I'm sure you would be, but you also have to realise you are part of the problem.
If these bullying claims are true, and enough people are doing it, one thing to destroy their image of you being self-entitled is to reject the invite. Let another player have a go. Obviously she won't and not many would but if she believes she's the best woman player in the world, then she'll obviously back herself to qualify again, year after year etc. So what harm would missing one year make? She'd instantly be a great role model to the other players, off the board, rather than just on it.
But it's all irrelevant. She'll play because she, Sky and Porter want her to. Personally hope she gets smashed in Round One by someone like Evil Charlie or Scott Williams. Players, without a tour card, who worked their arses off to qualify the hard way, rather than getting it on a silver platter.
It's the fact that they actually went through with what everyone was thinking was the slight surprise.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 3:59 pmDeep down we all knew this was comingDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:19 pm I don't know what to think of this on Sherrock's perspective.

You’d feel fucked off if you had to play the World’s qualifier and lost out in he last match because they decided to give a place to Sherrock.DeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 4:12 pmtungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 3:59 pmDeep down we all knew this was comingDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:19 pm I don't know what to think of this on Sherrock's perspective.

Then shit on your card holders and associate players, by bending over backwards for a player who couldn't even be arsed with the Challenge Tour.
I heavily disagree with it. It's not right at all.DeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 1:59 pm Disgrace
