For the quality of darts on show I am more than happy to watch it on a free stream, rather than fork out my hard earned cash.

I subscribe because of the UFC and the football, having darts on it now is an extra bonus and i enjoy watching it with friends rather than round a computer.

World Masters Goes Stateside

The 2011 Winmau World Masters will be seen for the very first time in America when ESPN-3 in the USA show coverage of this year's final stages from Hull Arena on September 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

It means that this year's World Masters will be making three debuts - a new venue, the first time on ESPN and now the first time in America.

In the meantime there is a busy schedule fore BDO darts this weekend with the British Masters and Champions Cup taking place at the De Vere Hotel in Daventry, Northants.

The interview with Barry Gilbey just got potentially more interesting!

In an exclusive interview with Darts! Monthly, Olly Croft has blasted the new board of the BDO and cast doubt on the future of The Lakeside World Championships.

“There’s not a businessman among them,” Olly told us. “Barry Gilbey, he’s a fireman. How can a fireman run an organisation like the BDO?”

And when pressed on the future of the World Championships Olly had this to say: “Bob Potter [Lakeside owner] and I trust each other and we do everything on a handshake. We’ve been working together for years. I’ve been to see Bob and he said to me: ‘who are these new board? I don’t know any of them. How can I do business with people I don’t know. They’ve not even been in touch with me.’”

And Olly also gave short shrift to the suggestion that he might be joining the BDO in an honorary role any time soon. “They started off by offering me the job of secretary. I’m not being their secretary. And then they offered me this life presidency. Well the BDO’s already got a president. I told them they could make me managing director if they wanted…”

The full interview will be in the next issue of Darts! Monthly magazine, on sale 26th August

No Gaz, I don't want to goad him into saying a load of stuff that he'd be castigated for.

he is a grown man and would be responsibe for his own words.
Besides is it not the purpose to get the "feelings" of those interviewed ?
