If someone asks me "How good was that game?", I'm not rushing to the average chart. My own eyes tell me if a game was entertaining or not. Look at the Barney-Taylor Premier League game where Taylor missed crucial doubles and lost despite averaging over 115, in a game with a combined average of 220. Look at last week's WGP final where Van Gerwen missed crucial doubles many times yet still averaged 96 average in a double-in format (and lost).
The Euro Tour can just as much have dramatic games. The Caven-VvdV final last year comes to mind.
