Lesser players setting out without that it's going to be a struggle but if you have the ability back it.
dart players, especially good ones, seem to have a thing about backing themselves with their own cash, whereas shit ones chasing an impossible dream have no qualms remortaging their family home etc to job to first round loss after first round loss

The relevant point was if you have the ability.
Then again if you don't try how do you know.
For every mvg there are scores of dashed dreams, tough world out there and darts is no different

if you cant get into your county team you are a deluded maniac remortgaging your family home to pretend your a professional dart player as many are doing because every so often they can bang in a 12 darter

you mean idiots in the bdo wanting to emulate the pdc stars ?
seems to me they feel the bdo has nothing to offer them and if they are stupid enough then fuck them , let them fail, I only wat to see the best, not shit bdo county players with ideas above their station

Had the world at his feet after the gsod win, a massive opportunity missed that's not likely to come knocking again
the way many seem to be doing it now is signing contracts with sponsors/managers for 50% of winnings in exchange for entries, transfers and hotels and all that been organised up front. then take the tax mans lump out, you really need to be doing a bunty type impact to make serious money on those sorts of margins
With a deal like this if you're paying half the winnings you could easily be paying less than half the tax

fact is your never going to have 128 elite players playing week in week out earning a living from the game, anybody who thinks that is fucking deluded.
a tour card for the majority is never going to be a passport to great things in the game and for many its simply a route into debt and depression. As it stands there is little real value to the tour card, if I was pdc I would seek to add value to it or get rid of them.
if they stick with the tour card thing then imo there should be 32 with cards, and this would entitle free entry to pro tour events for holders thus making them actually worth something the rest on the day made up of paying associate members and scrub the challenge tour thing entirely

Does Rod actually believe the shit he spouts about tour card holders being professionals? As deluded as Tony Green if that's the case

I think he genuinely believed at the time that a tour card would ensure interest from sponsors, but nobody is going to gamble their money on a no hoper simply because they have a card

Speaking of this. Does jim Williams do the tour with his own cash or has he got sponsers? that guy must have lost fortunes over the last few years chasing a dream.

Amazing response for 2015 PDC Q School entries - they'll be online later today but HUGE interest in @OfficialPDC & @PDPA_darts circuit.

Was talking to a '' tour card holder'' last year and he is anything but professional.
I know of three others locally and none of them are ''professional'' either.

Interesting comments about O'Shea. (and Mitchell, but they would not be related to Q-School, for obvious reasons)
Norris's comments sound like a post from J.C
