Apart from De Zwaan and Cadby the tourcard winners are a bit meh in my book.

This Qschool is a strange animal. Some players you would expect to walk it, fall competely short then some unknown jobbers seemingly qualify with ease

However this George Killington is a young lad, he might be going places.

I notice ze Germans, despite showing up in numbers, aren't really going well so far.

As for people who I hope to get a card (who haven't yet) that would be Menzies, Noppert and Murschell..

Yeah you're definitely right.

Over 4 days talent should come out on top and beat the jobbers but it seems like that's not what's happening. That's why I'd prefer giving more cards to the Challenge and Development tours., and let more people keep their cards, only top 64 now is harsh. Over the whole year it gives a more realistic assessment of players' capabilities than 4 days at Q-School.

Ain't wanting to sound like a shroom but no way Jamie Hughes is not good enough for a tour card. Same goes for Evetts, Ratajski or Viljanen by the way.

Couldn't give the remotest shit about any of those except Evetts though. Viljanen is a Finnish Ian White, Ratajski provided a good laugh but is a complete non-entity otherwise, and Hughes is Hughes.

You're correct in saying that they wouldn't make much impact in the PDC, especially not in TV events, and probably none of them are too interesting either.

But the tour consists of 128 players, not just the top 8 or a top 32. Those making up the numbers have an importance indeed. And when the best players aren't making it through, you have to question the system itself.

Maybe they just want to read here? Don't know whether there are areas of the forum that are restricted to members only?

Bezzeg has got hammered 5-0 twice already if I recall correctly. Simply just doesn't cut it anymore.

I remember him playing at a few World Cups and he was all right. But recently I haven't seen him, except on a Euro Tour event where he was atrocious.

Probably Viljanen was only doing this to be eligible for Euro Tours? Even though I doubt he needed Q-School to do that as he's in the Nordic qualifiers? Got a tour card some years ago but didn't really use it.

Artut just got fed up I guess. He wasn't entering any events last year so everybody assumed he retired.

Noppert is in the same 16th of the draw as van Baelen yet again.

Needs to hope the clogging Belgian gets beat before the last 16 otherwise I can't see him making the quarters.
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

Junghans v Marijanovic first round is a big game. Junghans loses, he's out, Marijanovic may have a slight chance of sneaking in.

Noppert plays either Andy Bless or Wilco Vermeulen, if he wins he gets a card.

Ratajski getting an easy draw first few games. Might need to beat Kantele to get to 10 points, and Duijvenbode/Kamphuis to get to 11.

L256 Ratajski - Alexander Pas
L128 Ratajski - Matthias Ehlers
L64 Ratajski - Esser/Pongracz
L32 Ratajski - Van Dijk/Retting/Schneider/Rosi

Only Van Dijk seems descent

L16 harder stuff - Kantale/Perales (one is out in L128)
