I don’t think any of them would shock any of the top 10 PDC players.

in proper darting settings like lakey and spa the wdf lads would win

at ally pall and leisure centre the pdc wins

Some old stuff... Looking at the 2005 Finnish Open, ahead of the 2025 edition. I saw that the Estonian pair of Tiit Haidak and Vahar Luuk lost 3-1 to Merv and Wolfie, but digging further there's some 'interesting' stuff. Are English Troops won the men's pairs that year, beating Sweden's Peter Wahlsten and Kenneth Högwall 4-0 in the final.

Marko Kantele and Kim Viljanen were in attendance, the vampires that they are, but it was another Finn in Marko Pusa who won the men's singles, beating Merv 5-2.

Men's: https://web.archive.org/web/20050305033 ... n_2005.htm
Marko Pusa is back on top form again after two years in the wilderness. He beat England’s Mervyn King 5-2 in the final and produced some excellent darts to do so. Marko took the first two legs with 19 and 11 darts, but Mervyn came back and levelled the match with 15 and 18 darts legs. Confident Pusa then took the last three legs in row with 16, 18 and 14 darts and became the first finnish player to win theFinland Open since 1983. Marko’s average in the final was 31,78 and Mervyn’s 28,09.

“I started hard practising only two months ago and I was surprised to see these kind of results already now”, he said afterwards. “My goal was IDL 2006, but perhaps I need to change that now. Just maybe I might get enough points to get invited to the Lakeside as well”, said the happy winner.

On his way to the final Marko beat Vincent van der Voort 4-3 in the Quarter-Finals and Kenneth Högwall 4-2 in the Semi-Finals. Mervyn beat Per Laursen 4-2 in the Quarter-Finals and Co Stompe in the Semi-Finals 4-1.
For some reason, they did a 301 DIDO event. A certain Stephen Bunting won the men's event, pocketing €320.

Hoenselaar beat Trina 4-1 in the women's event.

Women's: https://web.archive.org/web/20050305040 ... n_2005.htm

The women's pairs was won by something Thorn has probably said at some point: Inita Bite - Anastasia Dobromyslova

Decent numbers for men’s lady’s well down as expected
I think without pdc lady’s clash 64/70 easy
