Could be only the 17th time ever the top 3 openers in a test get tons. would be the 4th time England have done it

Which test side was better?
Aussie team late 90s early 00s is the only team that could be put in the mix. It would have been a great series between the two. Played in English conditions, would slightly favour the West Indies, but it’s certainly not a given they would win.
Better to consider it in Australian or West Indies conditions
The latter of which good luck
I think the home team would be favourite in either series. If I had to pick a mixed West Indies side from the 80s against the Aussies from late 90s early 00s without thinking I would guess there would be more West Indies players.

Flat track bully of poor bowlers
Tbf he had a good series against the Aussies, but I think they could have looked at someone else to partner ‘Ducketty’

You are right, so I’m dropping Lloyd and putting in Hayden.

I'd probably have Taylor over hayden and Lloyd as captain rather than waugh
I know he was later but I'd have curtly for mcgrath as well

Hayden’s and Waugh’s stats are far superior to those of Taylor and Lloyd and you cannot have a team without McGrath.

I’m sure Crawley’s century made it slightly less disappointing 🙂
