See the 2019 calendar is out, Lakeside gets a mention confirming the venue. WDT May 29 - Jun 2 is a TBC with no venue and the Winmau Oct 2-6 is somewhere in the UK.
There's no need to publish a totally incomplete schedule this early and no guarantee a load will actually take place as 74 are awaiting a date confirmation

Guess they should first guarantee that the world prolol will actually happen before threatening to ban all the women from it. Pure farce.

I think PDC should adopt the world's oldest major. Be nice to see the PDC players in a different format.

I don't think the World Masters format would be worth much beyond novelty if it was rostered with main tour PDC players instead.
But as I've said way too often already, I'd love to see the WDF and (mainly) the PDC take over the World Masters and reboot it as a proper amateur world championship. Basically no changes needed besides adding tournament winners from all the PDC's lesser tours in the UK and worldwide to the existing qualifiers.

Any truth in the rumour that Zeyes may be withdrawing his sponsorship of this thread after the rumours of Wimnau cancelling their support?

Should the PDC show an interest in the Winmau it's the ideal event to replace the UK Open. Only problem is Unicorn

Yet another person today asking on the Lakeside Darts FB page about tickets.
The natives are getting restless.

All in the dark. They're fortunate that there's anybody left who cares anymore.

Another two people asking on Sunday afternoon as well. Both ignored, just like everyone else who asked.

Bet the #loyal supporters of Cannon & Ball, Roy Chubby Brown and Jim Davidson aren't having this trouble.

Last year that was on the 27th July, so almost 4 weeks behind now.

Does this actually cast doubt on both the venue and the event?

Apparently Lakeside have told some county chairmen who enquired that they arent selling any tickets until TV is confirmed.

That does indeed cast doubt over the whole event then. TV will be a last minute announcement as it always is. Confirms C4 and BT are pretty much off the menu

If TV is a last minute thing Lakeside will have to bite the bullet and put tickets on sale long before.

An overly elaborate write up off the back of a Cat D event. And yes not a single mention of the L word in the whole article.
