Funny thing is I had an email chat with someone over the last couple of days and there's no denial that Potter aint paying the prize money and no coverage in place.

As things stand it will be on Freesport unless the BDO pay the production costs for BT and C4. With no prize sponsor the whole event alone could cost the BDO over £250k.

Freesports arent going to pay a six figure sum to run a 9 day outside broadcast in this world or the fucking next, and no mug is going to pay it for them surely?

Freesports don't film events themselves anyway, they take the feeds of others.

I think there's enough left for one with cheap production.

Wasn't that the Scottish event where they had like 38 entries a week before the deadline a few years ago, and had to beg for walk-ups?

No surprise that the prize fund has gotten reduced since then, the entry fees didn't even cover the winner's cheque.
