What sort of match average do you achieve at certain levels of the Order of Merit?
In this chart I've arranged the OoM into groups of 8 (1-8, 9-16, 17-24 etc) and then mapped their 2023 match averages.

25 -32 is a blip, but I suppose it reflects their current form...

Barney is utter shite, correct.
Have a +1
A good follower is honest of his flaws
But he is a fine player and a good lad is Ray
Would you drink his piss from a chalice

Had this thread on ice ready to proclaim Dobey had guaranteed himself a top 16 place, shockingly he's not confirmed it yet! Scott Williams has guaranteed himself a top 32 place though, I have been raving about him, but I didn't expect to be saying that tonight!
Some people remember how consistent he was up to the 2014 World Championship or World Matchplay, or how well he played at the 2010 World Championship.
If we are being serious. Whitlock shouldn’t be anywhere near 15th in any all time list. It’s a reasonable shout to say he should be lower down in a top 32 list. At least that is a sensible debate.

A more sensible conversation would be where he fits in on an all-time list of players never to win the Worlds. I don't know too much about the pre-split era, but a TV title, as well as a final at Ally Pally and Lakeside must have him well up there
