In addition the state of the BDO is so dire there almost is nothing to work with at least at their self called "Pro" level. No TV deal in site and I am predicting there won't be one, wait for it.....BDO to throw the last few quid they have all at the final Lakeside and purchase time on Free Sport or whatever that channel for the pikey grey hound racing is called. Given this Potter's load of dosh won't be forthcoming, as no ROI in it. He might throw in a few bob a few rooms, and a couple dozen burgers, but the buns and chips not included. Special players price 10 quid for Bun and Chips or you can by a bun for 6 and chips for 7, and of course you must que separately for each item. Potter has all the leverage and not much the BDO can do about it really.

BDO contractually agreed to keep the Lakeside payouts the same as 2018. Fully expect that one to be broken and in addition I expect they won't be paying the internationals travel expenses. They will have to get their free burger at the players bar. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few international players decline the invite. If they where smart they need to cut the field, especially the millstone of the ladies, just the semi-finals and final is what they should show. In fact cut the whole thing down to just a few days. No one is going to pay decent money to show this shower of shit for 8 days or whatever it takes to get the trophy in Durrants hands.

Seems Winmau is out as sponsor so can't rely on them to pick up the pieces at the last minute for the masters or whatever other pity money they throw at the BDO.

Sportotal taking BDO to court on breach of contract. Probably some shit about fees that Sportotal was probably getting a pct on for events that were streamed, logo fees, and the right to use "BDO".

Before the end of Jan. 2019 the BDO will have burned thru a pile of cash, all for nothing, well except for the pure pleasure of seeing the whole thing go up in flames.

Seems that Mason has confirmed that Channel 4 have binned the World Pro and there will be no mainstream coverage. Wonder where BT fit in.

Hard to imagine Potter gifting the already ludicrously disproportionate top end of the prize fund for something too badly hidden away.

Add to that being fucked off by Winmau and sued by Sportotal. This is all going to be utterly hilarious.
