I watched through the interview and I don’t even think it was that bad. I don’t really agree with prize money for losers anyway. It’s a fact with the money in the game now and the amount of pro tours and euro tours on offer there’s enough out there to make a good living. It’s unfortunate for the lads like Tingstrom who are currently struggling but the answer is, practice hard and get better.

Plenty of players have lost their cards and come back stronger and I’m sure some that have no hopes of keeping their cards this year will come back stronger too

The reactions are emotional. I agree with the point of view that the PDPA need to do more in terms of representing the players e.g. with the European qualifying process being pushed through. So there were elements of the interview I disagreed with. Especially arguing that the ET process is good because people want to see "Littler and Price" when they'd be there under the old format anyway..

I just generally don't think complaints about prize money hold up much anymore when they have been getting increased. Darryl Pilgrim for example has done fuck all so far, hasn't been on any runs, and the big majors are still to come and he's won 14k in prize money. That's not bad at all, considering I can't remember him going on any sort of run and there's a lot of prize money to come in the 2nd half of the year if you qualify for stuff. It's on him to play better at the end of the day

The money is there for them they're just not winning games. If you're Olde Kalter you have to reflect on the numbers you're putting in compared with the rest of the tour and ask yourself if you could make more money off the tour for a year and come back when you're ready. If my general game sits between 85-88 average and i'm about 35-40 years old, i'm not bothering with Q School, such is the standard at the elite level these days.
