£34000 prize fund for Men in world trophy :O only 8k for winner, get that for turning up in a PDC major.

Same as last year and less than half from 2016.

This tourney is similar to a Euro event in the PDC, and shows the gulf between the 2 codes.

Machin won more the year he was Runner-up than when he won!

Poor everything. It shouldn't exist in this form, simple.

They have allegedly lost £170k running the last two editions: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3416&p=778475#p778475

Has it been confirmed that the camera work will be done by the Dutch guys who did the BDO's last couple of TV events? If nothing else, that's been one of the few positive things of late. I shudder to think how bad it's going to be if they've had to scramble for something else...

Gwynne on commentary again? If so, that's definitely not one of the positive things.

Edit: Okay, I see 24/7 being mentioned on TSOD. Hurray for that. :?

Don't know what this is about...

If I can get between 500 and 1000 likes for this statement
I will post a screen shot that I’ve just found that proves how I was stitched up by the BDO
#debtsus...

Or do I take advice and
take it to the new board when they are elected as they will have no choice but to exonerate me with a full statement of apology!!!!!
Or do I take legal action for defamation of character

What's all the bullshit with the 500 likes?
Either he has such information or not. Post it or not. It's that simple.

What will he do if he gets more than 1,000 likes?

This is the perfect thing for the so called darts journalist to pick up on. A story on the BDO and it's piss poor practices to hurt the people who actually want to work with them. Oh wait... That would actually mean real work and real journalism instead of taking others work and passing it of as your own.

"Press release" on the front page of the BDO website:

BDO Players and Players Director pull out all the stops for young darts enthusiast!
Image

A young darts enthusiast was left heartbroken when, after his family bought tickets for the Lakeside World Championships, he was told he was unable to attend due to age restrictions.

News of his disappointment reached Players Director, Des Jacklin, who arranged for Vinnie and his family to attend the World Darts Trophy to enjoy the darts first hand and meet with some of the players.

Des would like to extend his thanks to all the players who helped make Vinnie’s World Darts Trophy experience so special, especially Ross Montgomery and Scott Mitchell who went the extra mile to ensure the young lad received VIP treatment!
