Re: THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH - 2017
There's been a lot to talk about. This World Championship caught fire early and kept it up. Last year's was a bit of an anti-climax in the first few rounds until it exploded in the Last 16 stage. In the first round this year, there was King vs. West and King crying, and the Corey Cadby matches. They really stood out.

You're giving him too much credits. The cunt is so insignificant that his behaviour is just a mere drop in the sea of enjoyment this tournament gave us.The Shank wrote:His crying, moaning and whining has been a highlight of the tournament.Justin Credible wrote:no no no, the event was a flop.....some dwarf with a snooker cue said so

The level of play, the excitement, the banter in this thread. THOSE have been highlights.

The Darts World Championship has captured German audiences - with new records for SPORT1. The dream final between the new world champion Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson brought SPORT1 again strong rates and the best average since the first transmission 13 years ago.
From the start to the final, an average of 480,000 spectators from three years (Z3 +) followed the extensive transmissions from the Londoner Alexandra Palace - as many as never before. Also the final live broadcast on yesterday's Monday evening gave SPORT1 the highest average ever for a darts World Championship: On average, 1.48 million spectators watched van Gerwen's 7: 3 success. At the top, 1.95 million viewers switched in to the final transmission - the best at this World Cup.
