Doesn't matter who the manager is. The players aren't good enough, barring a few, most of whom are coming to the end of their international careers.

Think they'll still qualify from this group but Brazil 2014 could be their worst experience since Euro 88, or even the previous WC in Brazil.

Harry Redknapp is certainly not good enough, he is a chequebook manager and not a good one at that

Hodgson is the best and most rightful man for the England Job

Both me and my late Dad thought Hodgson should have been offered the job before Postman Pat. Time then would have told were we right or wrong

of course he will be a good one, Hodgson has done well everywhere he has been, Apart from Liverpool but in time he would have turned that club around and they would be in a better position then thwey are currently

We on the otherhand would be in the Championship

I don't rate Hodgson too highly, but Redknapp is awful. People forget that he relegated Southampton after they'd been in the top flight for 27 consecutive years, only 2 years after they reached the FA Cup final and following two seasons in the middle of the table.

He did very well in two spells with Portsmouth, but the second spell's successes were a result of spending money they didn't really have. It's a form of cheating IMO. I reckon other managers could do at least as good a job with Portsmouth if they had the resources to bring England internationals to the club.

West Ham, took a few steps forward and a couple back during his tenure. He was fortunate that they had such a good academy back then - Big Sam isn't so lucky as the youngsters are nowhere near as good as the likes of Cole, Lampard and Rio were. Decent job overall but left them in a dodgy state.

A good job at Spurs, but no trophies. I'm sure Ramos would have turned it around after a bad start to the 08-09 season, having won the League Cup the year before. And Jol was the man who took them from mid-table obscurity to challenging for a CL place.

Some of his transfer market activity has been very good indeed. That is his (only) strength, but there doesn't appear to be a great deal of tactical awareness.

Fuck Redknapp.

He did ok with bournemouth, even did relatively ok with spurs, but as monkety pointed out fucked up at the other clubs,
But its his antics at west Ham that make me dislike him.

Its not the results, west ham fans are well used to losing many games, the thing with redknapp was how he stabbed the hero Billy Bonds in the back.
Bonds was offered a "promotion" to a sort of overseer manager", but bonds being a down to earth guy did not want it, and when they went ahead and appointed redknapp as manager of the team bonds rightfully told them to get fucked and walked.
Harry stayed and stabbed bonds in the back, and for that will never be forgiven.
