Gender identity you can believe you are male or female, even though personally it seems more like a mental illness to me.I don't entertain people who think they are horses etc
How you define trans people is relevant to the discussion at hand for me. I work with a man who chooses to identity as a women. They are living their own life and affecting nobody. I'm quite happy to use their preferred pronoun and their chosen female name.
In the case of biological males that are choosing to take women's places in society, unfairly in my opinion, in that context I will say he is competing against she etc as its the defining point in the discussion.
