Durrant is the new Adams.
In fact, compared to Durrant some of Adams would titles almost look genuine

Bob Anderson told us years back that Adams made a business decision, he wasn't wrong. I've said many times that Duzza is far better off where he is as the standard has never been lower on that side of the divide. Pick up the £100k for as long as it's available

Interesting point... I mean you'd surely struggle to equate anyone in the amateur ranks today to the prime or near prime versions of players who would have been Spineless' rivals after Barney left. Whoever they bloody were, can't think now. Help.

Whitlock, Webster, Anderson, Chisnall are a few that spring to mind.
Certainly better than anything durrant has faced.
Seems Ludicrous including a bottling cunt like Chizzy mind.

Don't forget Hankey and a host of others that moved across. There's more Lakeside finalists in the PDC than BDO

Well you know when you start digging into BDO results there will be suffering.

Turns out Garry Thompson is a former world prolol quarter-finalist. Not just once either, twice! 2010 and 2011.
Averaged over 80 in one of his wins, too, fair play.

(75.51) Garry Thompson 3 V 2 Ross Montgomery (76.71)
(85.80) Garry Thompson 4 V 1 Martin McCloskey (83.40)
(95.79) Martin Adams 5 V 2 Garry Thompson (87.12)

(78.06) Garry Thompson 3 V 1 Arno Merk (70.02)
(79.95) Garry Thompson 4 V 2 Alan Norris (78.12)
(87.78) Jan Dekker 5 V 4 Garry Thompson (86.67)

Glory glory is fucking woeful.
Mcloskey who he beat one of those years could play, he must have had a mare.
As for chuck, that sums him up.

I said this on here a while back.

The standard at Lakeside seriously dropped off around 2010/2011, and has never recovered. It was clearly inferior to the PDC before that period, but it hadn't completely gone to the dogs.

I wouldn't say he was shite. Maybe a bit overhyped.

The notion that he was better than Taylor in the early 00's is bollocks. But he was a top 10 player throughout most of the 2000's, and occasionally cracked the top 5.

He probably was for periods in the early 2000's.

He won Lakeside in 2000, and made the final the next year. He was also seeded 2nd for Lakeside 2004 and 2005. I know rankings around those periods were not always reflective. Warriner, Manley and Lloyd were ranked above Taylor occasionally. But Ted wasn't a terrible thrower.

I would have always ranked Taylor and Barney above him. Part was also probably better for much of the mid 2000's. But Ted probably crept into the top 5 occasionally in the 2000's. At the least, a case could be made for him.

Hankey had his days, and put a few of them in a row every so often. wasted too many years on the BDO shower of shit circuit. Over rated most certainly. I would put Hankey and Part in some general proximity...maybe...Part getting the edge as he did beat Taylor for a WC. But both could go missing for long stretches and then hit a purple patch.

In a discussion of over achievers, part would have to be at the top of the pile.

Aye, Part's victory over Taylor to win the 2003 PDC Worlds is superior to any win Hankey ever had.

Hankey's semi-final with Mason was very good, but it's not quite the same as beating the greatest darts player ever in a world final is it? Especially considering Taylor averaged a shade under a ton in that final.

2003-2005 by his own standards Taylor was pretty indifferent but part still had to beat him.
