I always preferred Part v Taylor myself but both were obviously better. Tonight was really good, though.Keyz180 wrote:Good final but still doesn’t top the Taylor v Barney final of 2007. Nothing will beat bulling up for throw for the sudden death leg.
If memory serves me right that went on until almost midnight too.

The tournament was ruined really by bang average players like Dolan and Williams taking out big names with one off performances. Really wanted to see an MVG Humphries semi final but that prick Williams had to ruin it.meetthefeebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:27 pmI appreciated that quality on show but I prefer a good contest. Neither semi-final fit that particular bill but a lot of the last week or so has. I've enjoyed it a lot, more so than a fair few of the recent renewals.sennafan24 wrote:They were not great in terms of drama, but I did appreciate Littler and Humph's performances in them.meetthefeebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:23 pmThe semi-finals weren't great, in truth, but most of it from the last 16 onwards was a very good watch.sennafan24 wrote:I really enjoyed the tournament overall.
There didn't seem to be as much dross in the earlier stages and there were some exceptional games/performances in the latter stages.
Are you kidding? Williams beating MvG was greatterrencetibbs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:30 pmThe tournament was ruined really by bang average players like Dolan and Williams taking out big names with one off performances. I agree, I'm gutted Littler didn't win, Humphries deserved it, Littler will remember that double 2 for a 5 2 lead as long as he livesterrencetibbs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:25 pm Well done to Humphries. He deserved to win but what a huge disappointment. I switched the TV off the second the winning dart went in. I love sport and like to see rare freakish things being done. Such a shame Littler couldn't get it done.
This might be tbf, there's been a story for the ages which has captured the imagination of the whole country, and plenty of great darts and fantastic matches even aside from Littler
Just say you have no clue about darts you cockterrencetibbs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:30 pmThe tournament was ruined really by bang average players like Dolan and Williams taking out big names with one off performances. It's a familiar narrative. They have to keep saying it case anyone notices things they don't want noticed.PT13 wrote:Greatest World Championship ever? LOL. They always say that, and it's rarely true.
Not sure but you have to keep faith as long as wadey is still standing.

Unfortunately for us, it will never happenshenmue wrote:The Greatest world championship ever will be the one wadey wins.
I don't think you can say Dolan had a 'one off performance' against Price considering he was a similar level in all 3 of his wins. Williams would have needed a miracle to beat Humph, but likewise, MvG could easily have been fodder for him, especially on that formterrencetibbs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:30 pmThe tournament was ruined really by bang average players like Dolan and Williams taking out big names with one off performances. That one felt epic and a rollercoaster. Taylor down 0-2, 1-4 and 3-5, wins 7-6.
