They were not great in terms of drama, but I did appreciate Littler and Humph's performances in them.meetthefeebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:23 pmThe semi-finals weren't great, in truth, but most of it from the last 16 onwards was a very good watch.sennafan24 wrote:I really enjoyed the tournament overall.
There didn't seem to be as much dross in the earlier stages and there were some exceptional games/performances in the latter stages.
Was one of the first airlines I wrote to for a job after I bummed out of my ATC training. Was really surprised he signed it.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:23 pmSweet.ChrisW wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:20 pmI have a signed letter from Niki.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:19 pmIt's a book about Niki LaudaRandall wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:18 pmI'll see you in the book threadsennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:17 pm

At the weekend? Some nice outdoor walks.![]()
I'm pretty clueless about his F1 career in the 70s. Hence why I bought the book.
Too small to notice.skweezit wrote:aren't they going to show the paddy power 180 trophy?

Worthy champion
Doctor Who.
Granted, Humphries vs Williams was never likely to be a thriller, but Littler-Cross had its moments. The semis and final are a looooong format, sometimes you can have a game that's really tense at the beginning until someone pulls awaysennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:25 pmThey were not great in terms of drama, but I did appreciate Littler and Humph's performances in them.meetthefeebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:23 pmThe semi-finals weren't great, in truth, but most of it from the last 16 onwards was a very good watch.sennafan24 wrote:I really enjoyed the tournament overall.

I appreciated that quality on show but I prefer a good contest. Neither semi-final fit that particular bill but a lot of the last week or so has. I've enjoyed it a lot, more so than a fair few of the recent renewals.sennafan24 wrote:They were not great in terms of drama, but I did appreciate Littler and Humph's performances in them.meetthefeebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:23 pmThe semi-finals weren't great, in truth, but most of it from the last 16 onwards was a very good watch.sennafan24 wrote:I really enjoyed the tournament overall.

Go onto the BBC website to join other like-minded souls seeking group therapy.terrencetibbs wrote:Well done to Humphries. He deserved to win but what a huge disappointment. I switched the TV off the second the winning dart went in. I love sport and like to see rare freakish things being done. Such a shame Littler couldn't get it done.
Agreed. Dropped the mong persona he had a few years back. Smith could learn a thing or two from him.Malanax wrote:Humphries comes across exceptionally well these days really speaks well great champion
I don't think anything can top that, not just for the game itself, but for the background to it as well
