Re: The 2022 Modus Muck Thread
So basically, instead of crowning a £6,000 champion in a small studio every five weeks they'll now be crowning a £20,000 champion in a larger studio every 13 weeks, meaning that the big money opportunity in each phase's final week now involves 12 out of as many as 144 players instead of 12 out of 48? Seems rather BDO-esque as a change, great for the one that actually wins it, meh for everybody else.

I think the overall prize money will be increasing too, so appearance fees, runner up and 3rd place etc

Re: The 2022 Modus Muck Thread
Not that we'll ever find out what with them being curiously mum about most prize fund details. They at least used to mention the £2k prize of the weekly winners in the past, but even that seems to have stopped with the current phase that's about to be rebranded halfway through. In any case, I find the £1 million per year claim rather hard to believe. That would have to mean over 15k each regular week, which is what they used to pay out only in the champions weeks.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 11:57 am I think the overall prize money will be increasing too, so appearance fees, runner up and 3rd place etc
BTW, for some reason they're apparently intending to leave their shared Youtube location at Online Darts TV (current subscribers: 27,100) for a newly created specialist channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClJRwG ... AY1cGLtWHA (current subscribers: 10). The explainer video they posted there yesterday ends with "Find out more at modussuperseries.com". Good luck finding anything there beyond a big "COMING SOON" placeholder, though. Monday is a long way off.
What is with darts people's infatuation with the term "Super Series", anyway?
Your trust is appreciated, fellow darts fan who has been deemed too critical of this venture.

I will subscribe to the new channel to support amateur darts. I suggest every forum member does the same. Wolfie is already in the finals, what's not to like?

Just hold a variety of knockout tournaments with different formats every 2/3 weeks with like 64 random jobbers from anywhere.
Would be a hell of a lot more interesting than this round robin shite
