Then again, Green also said in 2007 that it didn't matter that Barney had gone because Niels de Ruiter is just as good. No really. Which would have been quite a crass thing to say if old Barney had indeed erm popped his clogs. Turned out to be only retarded.Randall wrote:Imagine they were utterly perplexed in 94

I believe it, Green's a braindead cretin.Randall wrote:He surely didn't?Rogg wrote:Then again, Green also said in 2007 that it didn't matter that Barney had gone because Niels de Ruiter is just as good. He sure did. Insulting and embarrassing in all directions.Randall wrote:He surely didn't?Rogg wrote:Then again, Green also said in 2007 that it didn't matter that Barney had gone because Niels de Ruiter is just as good. Bollocks. He mentioned the PDC quite often.Rogg wrote:If you'd been a close viewer of Lakeshite for a few years and it was all you'd known, the 2007 edition must have been a bit puzzling.
I remember Tony Green acknowledging once that year Barney had gone but he didn't mention anything called the PDC. Some viewers must have thought he'd died, seriously.

I was referring only to that "once" that I heard him addressing it, oche. No need to go mental.limegas wrote:Bollocks. He mentioned the PDC quite often.Rogg wrote:If you'd been a close viewer of Lakeshite for a few years and it was all you'd known, the 2007 edition must have been a bit puzzling.

I remember a few people asking me during the 1994 Embassy where the likes of Bristow, Lowe, Wilson, Anderson, Taylor, Priestley etc. were.Randall wrote:Imagine they were utterly perplexed in 94

First match I remember sitting through and taking a liking for the game was Whitlock v Wade at the 2010 Worlds. Vaguely remember some coverage of Barney's win in '07.

Re: Your earliest darting memory....
Vaguely recall watching the 2002 final. Didn't watch anything other than the Worlds at that time so I was majorly shocked Part beat Taylor the next year, so that really sticks in the mind. Started watching the other tournaments regularly when Barney came over, though funnily enough that 2007 final is the only one I've missed since I started watching darts
