Who would possibly want to extend their stay at Bunn Leisure with less than two week's notice?

If I'm reading this correctly the extension is prior to the event rather than after and would mean anyone working having to use valuable leave time or take it unpaid.

That's gonna work!

How many viewers/paying fans would watch a clash between the top 2 in the BDO? Duzza vs McGeeney isn't even a draw for the die hard bdo fan...they would want Wolfie vs Oshea. :|

In fairness, it can't be much fun for him to have been born in the mid-19th Century with no redeeming features.

McGeeney is the newest object of baffling, clammy affection. That purple patch is coming, any day now...

The BDO Appreciation Society - Sponsored by Zeyes

Post by Dazzla501 » Sat Jun 03, 2017 12:14 am

I've played BDO darts for the best part of 20 years now. Been through youth county, superleague, senior county and had a decent stab at the big opens and what not (got a couple of rounds from Lakeside at my peak a decade ago).

Bottom line though, while the effort and attitude from all the volunteers is admirable the elite side of the game is on it's arse. No one outside of the player's family, friends and selected fanatics gives a shit these days and there isn't a pool of potential consumers left - the PDC have already bagged them.

Streaming online is absolutely fine and the likes of UniLad are a great avenue...but for fucks sake stop spunking money on TV coverage now. Its not the 1980's anymore and you will get nothing from it except a shit credit rating and a depleted bank account!
