I concur
How is it for the players, that has to be the main consideration really. Some might appreciate fewer trips away from home, others might not like having to spend 5 days away at a time

Oh man, what a disaster for him, so close to the Grand Prix, and that was after missing events due to travel restrictions. Still, he's qualified for the Grand Slam by right, which is a great achievement, and is surely on his way to Blackpool (fingers crossed!) next summer

Dekker is finished, i've not seen him release consecutive darts in the same fashion for about 4 years, spraying is an understatement.

Yep he definitely "gives it" more than the others and is next in the production line. Think he's already done "chalking" on stage 2 at UK Open and one or two PL nights.

Can't really remember what his throw used to look like, but he does have the look of someone with dartitis now

The young lad with the glasses?
Owen (I forget his surname)
I imagine he'll be in the main caller line up once Russ Bray calls it a day.

With all the recent wanking over him, I'd wait to see if he can do anything on TV. We already have more than enough floor warriors.

The issue with him up until recently was that he could do it at the Worlds, but not on the floor. Definitely doesn't seem like someone who'd shit himself on TV

Had one half decent run at the Worlds 2 years ago, and even then he only beat useless chokers pretty much. For me this is still another case of people overhyping a player before he actually does anything significant. Heck, based on Pro Tours and lucky WC runs, even Ryan Searle is twice the player he is. For clarity, I don't think he'd shit himself, but whether his game holds up in the next 1-2 years is far from certain.

Thorn is correct on Devon and the worlds, he had a couple mid 90 performances over the 10 years and that run in 2018 was like Fallons last year, a bit of a fluke. A fluke because he won but didn't play very well, just waited around for his opponents to mess their pants.
Currently he is playing well above his avg from prior years. He has added a good 5 pts to his 3 dart avg and 6 to his first 9. his current avg is 98. He was previously nothing more than a low 90's kind of guy who would splash in high 90's once every so often.

The question with Devon is more to do with if he can hold this level of game in front of a crowd given he has the biggest ego of any darts player i've ever seen I wonder if he will get caught up in the distraction of being the showman again, so far he has only produced this new level in isolated environments.
