And another thing.
This is what cracks me up the most about BDO 'fans', they STILL take the BDO seriously after all that shit and STILL think lakeside is the be-all and end-all of darts.
The delusion and suspension of disbelief is simply mind-boggling.

It's an amusing mechanism for sure. They take it on faith that Lakeside is superior to anything the PDC put out, but with Lakeside (and the rest of the BDO) declining further and further, it necessarily means they have to denigrate the PDC in more and more shrill terms, too, because otherwise the superiority fiction no longer holds up - and that would send the whole house of cards crashing down. The Shank wrote:And another thing.

All I do remember is that the first day of the 'Players Championship' (a Thursday) was to be a qualifying event of some kind (possibly never clarified) for county players, and there'd be a goody bag containing free tickets to the Rainton Meadows event. The lack of proper communication about that aspect was laughable and just a game of whispers, but no worse than what's happening right now really. The Ginge Reaper wrote:Would love to have known what the plan was with some of them. 2017 not off to the best start either. Was the Players Championship (RIP, possibly twice) on the 2017 calendar too?

To my eternal shame, no one's threatened me with that yet.

Ah yes. Apparently London county were the only one told about it and they were planning to flood the qualifier with London players.Rogg wrote: All I do remember is that the first day of the 'Players Championship' (a Thursday) was to be a qualifying event of some kind (possibly never clarified) for county players, and there'd be a goody bag containing free tickets to the Rainton Meadows event. Any luck?

What's the betting that when the current fuss in the BDO has died down the players and 'fans' will just carry on as normal and act like none of this ever happened?

It's a 100% certainty, there can't be anyone thicker than a BDO player/fan on the fucking face of the earth. The Shank wrote:What's the betting that when the current fuss in the BDO has died down the players and 'fans' will just carry on as normal and act like none of this ever happened?

Correct. A few wins at the GSoD will reset morale, and once again there'll be 'something to build on', 'lessons to learn'...Tommo wrote:It's a 100% certainty, there can't be anyone thicker than a BDO player/fan on the fucking face of the earth. The Shank wrote:What's the betting that when the current fuss in the BDO has died down the players and 'fans' will just carry on as normal and act like none of this ever happened?

I forget - are Sue and Wayne not up for re-election at this year's AGM, or was the rule change to two-year terms already enacted in 2015 and they're up this year?

Doesnt matter either way, no one in the BDO can be bothered to do fuck all about them anyway.Zeyes wrote:I forget - are Sue and Wayne not up for re-election at this year's AGM, or was the rule change to two-year terms already enacted in 2015 and they're up this year?
Spend a lot of time moaning, but do nothing about it is the order of the day.
