I’ll be honest I’ve never seen any of his twitter posts so I’ve no idea what he has put to possibly annoy anybody. I can understand how certain players are disliked with how they act but I’ve never seen anything specifically with Scotty Dog.

Honestly, the worst thing about Mitchell is that the bloke even gets any of this attention in the first place. He's one of those guys who would have been consigned to first round defeat after first round defeat, had it not been for the BDO becoming a pitiful joke and allowing his mediocre talent to infiltrate through and win a 'World Title'.
They now try to create an aura around him, like he's in the pantheon of greats. He also buys into it and clearly thinks he's a massive deal. It's all quite pathetic.

That's a fair comment. I don't begrudge anyone the attention just because they aren't top players. However there are some who are too self-entitled or attention seeking themselves, and I can see Mitchell belonging in that category. I mean, Jim Williams is a similar quality player who doesn't get that hate at all. I haven’t seen enough interviews with Scotty Dog to suggest he thinks he is some great. I’ve looked at his BDO majors record. Apart from his world title, he hasn’t reached another major final. I have heard Wayne Mardel big him up. Didn’t he even predict he would get to the grand slam final??? I remember him playing very well against Adrian Lewis.
