Would prefer Cross to win this now. With most top players being either lackluster or insufferable, an in-form Bobby would be a welcome sight.

Old school thinking. The PDC ( not me) have around 10 premier events of which the masters is one of them. It doesn’t matter what Randall or Thorn says, the fact is the winner of the Masters will be deemed a Premier event winner.
