There was nothing wrong with the format it was the qualifying Criteria. Groups of 3 makes the groups boring as fuck ffs.

Let's assume the format doesn't get any better or worse

There is an urgency to expand the GSoD, as there are so many tours and winners today. There were hardly any tournaments when it was designed for 32. It got old.

The Matchplay and Grand Prix have no such special reason to increase from fields of 32. But still, yes, I would. Quantity over quality is very rough territory and on some level just stupid but yeah, speaking personally as a fan, I would like them to involve more players.

I would assume that

- All Players Championship Winners will qualify
- European Tour Finalists
- Australian PL winners

I hope there isn't more PDPA Qualifiers (It will remain at 8 i would assume)

Years ago the Matchplay was 40 players. I think 32 is fine. It should remain untouched

I was imagining them at 40 players. 16 seeds plus pro tour top 8 start in round 2.

The first round would be 8 games: pro tour 9-16 v 17-24.

It would only require 1 extra session at the Grand Prix, and 2 at the Matchplay.

Didn’t really consider 40 but now that you mention it
