Bigger value packs in supermarkets. Take a look and see that a lot of the time smaller packs are cheaper when comparing weight and price.

the "rinse and repeat" message on hair shampoo bottles.
unless your head has been dipped in oil, there's no need.

the artificial high prices of diamonds.

Rout mentioned a while ago about those non-touch soap dispensers and I was amazed it hadn't occured to me before he said it.
You wash your hands AFTER you get the soap so what's the point in not having to touch it?
My mate spent £50 on one of those (at the time I told her that was crazy money), I told her about this anomaly and you could see her thinking 'offs'. Heh.

My mate's one fills from an open hole in the top. The day she got it she filled it up and it wasn't squirting much out. Upon reading the instructions I informed her that underneath it was a switch to change the flow. Silly cow tipped it straight upside down to check...
