If 2 lots of Grand slam money and worlds money go on there is a chance I suppose.

My point is if she gets her money on her ranking why did Durrant not last year. It comes back to the argument of should the Slam be a ranking event.

She is a PDC qualifier, she represents the PDC so she will get the ranking money. BDO qualifiers do not. Pretty simple imo. I mean you can argue whether there should be a ladies qualifier at all if that's what you want but the rules are clear.

Ashton is not that likely to be top 64 sure, but it's far from impossible. With that ranking money indeed, win a couple games at the Worlds and suddenly it's not out of reach.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Right she is a pdc qualifier but no other player in the qualifier has a tour card?

So does that mean we should have a mens pdc qualifier where non tour card holders can play? Or the challenge tour winner get a place.

I find it wrong personally.

Exactly, the PDC isn't solely made up of tour card holders. The Challenge Tour and Development Tour winners get a place at the worlds and get tour cards so the idea is hardly that far-fetched. There are quite a few Worlds qualifying events with only a few or zero card holders.

Yeah but the Slam dosen't if she wants the ranking money she should have to play the tour card holders floor qualifier for the Slam as the other players only get that way. Can you see what I'm saying Lisa is getting an easier route.

Do Adam Gawlas, Mikuru Suzuki and Wayne Warren get the money on the PDC order of merit

Gawlas yes because he qualified via a PDC route. Agreed that Ashton could get £23k almost thrown at her, which isn't really fair, all it would take is for her to not be pathetic on tour and her tour card is basically safe

Is it buggery, she only has a current total of £6k and 64th on the list is around the £45k mark.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

At the end of the day that's exactly what the PDC wants. And to be fair what most of us want, too. Much rather have Ashton on the tour than some of the other cloggers. You can't even define "fairness" to appease everyone, is it equality or equity etc?

Pretty mental that 8 places go to Pro Tour qualifiers, could be the difference between someone keeping a tour card if they turn up on the day

Thornton would have had to go back to Q-School if not for the Grand Slam last year

The group stage is great, it's the only thing really differentiating this from all the other identikit TV tournaments. It's the makeup of the qualifiers that's the main thing, last year's BDO contingent was grim, especially when you take away Duzza who'd been a PDC player for 9 months. Will never happen, especially in this of all years, but I'd love for there to be international qualifiers replacing the grim floor qualifiers

I think at this stage, the only thing to do to save the event is to split the field 50-50 male and female.

Cullen in, Searle out, with Ratajski hanging on by his fingernails with Ian White only a little bit more comfortable. Two TV events to go, and the 5 floor events of the Winter Series. The World Cup should be fun, only England have both players qualified for the Slam at the moment, outside of Cross and Smith, I believe it's only Price, MvG and Dimi who have qualified
