Mafia

Post by vizIIsto » Wed Oct 14, 2020 1:35 pm

Hello

Mafia is a party game where there is an informed minority (the mafia) against an uninformed majority (the villagers). The mafia try to kill off all the villagers while the villagers try to lynch the mafia. During Day phases, everyone may chat and vote for someone to get lynched, and at Night the mafia can kill someone. There are also power roles to add some spice, for example a Doctor who can save someone from getting killed by the mafia, or a Cop who can investigate someone's alignment at night. The mafia wins when they have equality in the town, the villagers win when the entire mafia has been lynched. The mafia knows who the other mafia are, the villagers know nothing but their own innocence.

Would anybody be interested to play this here?

The one forum I played this on once was toxic and competitive as hell and was like a thousand posts a day for the entire group of 15 or so players.

How did it make you feel? I sound like an absolute wanker now but really, how did all that work out? It sounds like torture.

It was torture. Insults and vulgar language all around and they didn't feel like taking it down a notch. Basically they used it as pressure and it didn't take long before I had enough of it.
There are rules against this type of behavior on other sites but not there, it was their playstyle and to be fair it was damn enjoyable until I couldn't take their behavior anymore. Then I left.
Apparently I was one of the most trusted players for the two days I played even though they didn't show me that. I was village.

Nightmare. I guess the rest of them are still at it.

You've swapped it for a place where the biggest pressure point is whether or not Randall will stay awake for long enough to see Duzza lose again.
