O'Shea recounts the time Darryl Fitton hit a 9 darter in an exhibition in Berwick and the crowd stormed the stage, causing it to collapse.

Totally irrelevant to the match at hand, of course.

Bo pictured watching, looking absolutely bored shitless.

Onscreen scoreboard malfunctions and says Trina needs 40 when she needs 160. It doesn't change until midway through the next visit.

Winstanley gets down to 36 after 12 darts. She needs to throw another 12 to win the leg.

Gulliver has an attempt at D10 that ends up touching the bottom wire of single 6.

Must be up to a few hundred howlers by now. What are the key themes?

Little Richard currently coaching the audience to cheer properly during his next pre-game spiel so that it comes across better on TV.

Little Richard is a great guy and he's a great asset to Lakeside. The crowd or the players are as they are, but at least he's doing his job well and with passion
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Smile and nod and take the money. He knows it's a load of shite but may as well play along for cash.

Also I helped him get that gig by emailing the Sun about the Fatz racist video.

I think he's genuinely enjoying doing it, seems a passionate guy about darts overall

I don't think much of McDonald either, but LR's style of MC'ing always comes across as minor-league to me, even when he's doing it on PDC stages (as he's done on the European Tour a couple of times, Gibraltar or wherever it was). Can't see him ever getting a permanent gig with the PDC.

He's one of the good guys though, no doubt about that.

McDonald's a decent enough fit, "boxing parody" suits the baying masses better than "cabaret act".

Aye he's a good guy, we had a pint or two when he was in Sheffield for the snooker a few years back.

I liked him on the Euro Tour, would prefer to having him all year there than that German announcer (Paulke?) and the others. McDonald is a guy doing his job nothing more but he fits the big TV events
