Gladly not. After that term being appropriated years ago it now is held in the same regard as being a Gary Glitter and Rolf Harris fanThe Thorn wrote:You're not an All-Darter then

I guess the 41 people trying to watch the BDO Swedish Open stream was more than the technicians expected, as the stream isn't working.

Was that pic taken at the place they played? The angle makes it look like their ferry back home has capsized or something.

I think Daniel Day is in that picture twice. Strange goings on aboard the doomed SS Mushroom.

A few more lovely ranking points for Wezzz Newton (front, left), apparently through to the Last 8 of whatever it is that's happening today.

I had truly forgotten about Ovens. Even Chizzy had more success than him.

Re: The BDO Appreciation Society - Sponsored by Zeyes
Seems some mushrooms are under the impression that Hearn is going to be the savior of the BDO, with jackasslickin playing the role of John the Baptist. BDO announcement doesn't change the fact that the PDC doesn't need the BDO to develop players anymore. Well at least at the semi pro level. What the PDC needs now is that bridge from pub piss up participant to something more serious, like county and super league. In essence he needs the BDO to actually move down ladder and focus on lower level players. That is what he means by "we all have our roles, and let them take care of the amateur side"
Zeyes is right in saying that the value of the BDO tour is in Lakeside, without Lakeside BDO tour isn't much. Fact no one wasn't it for TV, Hearn doesn't want it around either.
The only thing that makes sense for the PDC is to kill the lakeside event, rebrand and revitalize the Masters as the premium event for amateurs. This fulfills what the WDF need for IOC, and gives PDC some kind of access to darts internationally with out having to do it from scratch in those far flung places. The question is will BDO accept a role only in the amateur only realm. The battle for supremacy of British darts is over. What is really valuable to the PDC is the expansion globally to other TV markets.

Seems the BDO have cut the number of ladies exemptions down from 8 (coming in at the Last 16) to 4 (coming in at the quarters).
How have they told the ladies this news? Erm, they havent. It was plopped into a piece on the Winmau website two days ago - just two weeks before the seeding cutoff

Oh dear. Has Tony stated the explanation since? I know he said he won't but either make it public or don't mention it at all FFSThe Ginge Reaper wrote:Seems the BDO have cut the number of ladies exemptions down from 8 (coming in at the Last 16) to 4 (coming in at the quarters).
