Loonies on Fanatics...........
Graham Earwicker What you need to understand is that right now ladies averages are not relevant. What is relevent is that when they get tv time i.e the lakeside is that they give good telly and do darts justice... which they do in spades... and in case you think they can't do it... the 1st person to hit a 100 average in the 2015 bdo world champs was lisa ashton xxx

Mark Tadman The ladies' averages are always relevant Graham, they are just as important as the men's. What the BDO and the TV companies need to understand is that it isn't acceptable to just cut off the TV coverage mid way through a match, or even worse, to boot the ladies games completely in order to show a men's match, which has happened several times in the last few years. The only thing that is worse, is the prize money offered for the women's game, it's shambolic that in this day and age the ladies are forced to accept such paltry amounts for their efforts - whilst the men can command 6 figure sums when they win major titles.

Hard to know where to start with such delusion.
We read it for years on df but we know at heart that is tongue in cheek.
Worryingly these mutants appear genuine.

They're right in one way, the prize money gap between men and women at the Lakeside is ridiculously large. But that's more because the men are overpaid relative to their station in darts, not because the women are underpaid.

Equal pay in sport is a hot potato, luckily darts isn't a sport.Zeyes wrote:They're right in one way, the prize money gap between men and women at the Lakeshite is ridiculously large. Indeed, which is why the smarter men's sport promoters steer well clear of co-promoting anything with the women's version of their sport. If the BDO actually decided to set women's darts adrift, those guys whining on Facebook would have another thing coming.

You could point out that Lisa's highest average in 2015 was 90.18Randall wrote:Hard to know where to start with such delusion.

I assume he is referring to her 98.85 average at the 2016 Catas-Trophy, however that is also less than 100.

Anything that doesn't fit their narrow view on the world is simply ignored.

Why haven't the LDO promoted a TV event, if women's darts is so popular?
