Of course, it's only when Peter Wright dances on stage that it's a disgrace to darts...

If the bdo is to have any chance of Moving forward with more tv events they must surely sack off the womens darts.
Any momentum an event gets is killed stone dead by this shit.

Re: The BDO Appreciation Society - Sponsored by Zeyes
They need to schedule better. How can they expect 4 men's quarter finals, 2 women's semi finals, 2 men's semi finals, a women's final and a men's final to all be done within 5 hours? With two days of Eurosport coverage, they'd have been better off spreading all of tonight's stuff over two days of evening sessions.Randall wrote:If the bdo is to have any chance of Moving forward with more tv events they must surely sack off the womens darts.

James Wade
James Wade Lad's played several BDO events this year, won a few as well. If there's an issue with him, surely that must mean that anyone who ever plays in a PDC regional event or the secondary tour can't either.

James Wade He did Ross, won the Polish Open and Hungarian Classic in last 12 months. Suppose you'll be wanting all the youth tour and challenge players to withdraw as well?

James Wade Even if he did only play two events, then he'd still have qualified for this one. Can't just pick and choose who gets to play both codes based on if they win majors or not.

Andrew McNally
Andrew McNally I think there's a little bit of embarrassment that a nobody in the PDC has went and won the 2nd biggest major in the BDO. Obviously this has got some players fuming despite the player in question doing nothing wrong.
It's a great shame that these players aren't posting messages of congratulations but are instead fuming.

Simon Harris My point is that if you can play at the highest level like Ross Theboss Montgomery or Scott Mitchell for example then why shouldn't you want to play the best tournaments and he s allowed to, the organisers of these tournaments should be responsible not those looking to do there best in what is a tough sport.

Scott Mitchell Mark Potts in respect of will they see him as a BDO player as that's his biggest darts win, not a vindictive comment in any way, Andy, Kristof is a friend I 1st met him at 2008 when I started circuit. he been playing both for a long while. I will congratulate him in person.

James Wade Ross Theboss Montgomery Overall point would be that a bit of mixing codes is OK, especially for fringe players. No idea why it'd be such a touchy subject you playing GSOD. Best thing you could do is go in there and smash a few PDC lads, and then have a good go at winning Lakeside.

Andrew McNally Why do you players not want to play against the best? Seems strange to me that you want to stop good players like Kristof from competing against you.

Andrew McNally That's what I thought Simon but it appears that some players are unhappy that the Masters winner was allowed to play. I'm sensing that they do not want to allow this chap to compete against them going forward.

Scott Mitchell He been classed as no 84 Pdc player in many circles, although played BDO for years, now with this his biggest achievement, when he goes back to euro tour will those players go " hear comes that BDO player Winmau champ", it's obviously a little late An you've not kinda got it !!!

Seems to me stupid mushroom fucks confirming that being the big fish in a little pond is the most important thing To them, and must be protected. The true spirit and drive of top competitors in the sport on display in the BDO.
These fukwits have no interest in playing the best or creating an environment for players to excel they just want a little pond to call their own.

That comment absolutely says it all. No, Scott, they'll probably say "well done on winning that" and otherwise don't give a shit what he ought to be "classed as" now.in the gravy wrote: Scott Mitchell

I look forward to the Bournemouth Echo article in a few days with him giving the reasons why he should have won the event instead.
