Are these cunts on a different planet to the rest of us, the standard is atrocious and no cunt wants to watch this pish on TV. I didn't think Mason would be so stupid tbh, surely he can't believe that...

the bdo main tour is already abysmal.....the county scene is just taking the piss.
Then again Tommy the Jew would probably pay some shit tv channel thousand to show that shit to a global audience that would not fot in a local pub.

As for Mason's belief that masses of people would be turning into on-demand county match broadcasts - MLB Advanced Media is looking to expand their sports portfolio, maybe the BDO could give them a ring and make a business proposal.

County, county, county. The thing the seperates the BDO from the PDC.
Professionalism, paying crowds, entertainment, TV companies paying to show events, a World Cup on TV. (Some of) the things that get ignored.

Nothing wrong with County as a premise (although it needs a major overhaul) but it should be nowhere near a TV screen. Streamed online at best.
Its a hobby/pass-time. Apart from the very very small audience they already get for these random BDO/EDO events, no one else will give a monkeys.

They would be better off bringing back Indoor Leauge. The stupidity of these cunts never ceases to amaze.

Just crazy. If a product is to be on tv then there has to be a demand for it. Or at least big potential for demand. County darts has neither.
The county darts fandom is a tiny but vocal niche group. Enthusiasm amongst a hardcore few should not be confused with mainstream appeal.
You can't just throw something on tv/a stream and assume people will watch. Where is the market research? Do some fucking surveys or something first.

Even at its 80s peak, County darts was nowhere near TV was it? That said, I'm surprised Lincs have streamed to dickwave.

Not as such, but it was tied more closely to the stuff that did make it on TV, wasn't it? I could be talking pish here though, I really don't know how qualification for the Lakeside etc. was working pre-split. But I always assumed that the route from county was shorter at the time. (And that that's what TT is trying to get back to with his latest ideas.)wintergardener wrote:Even at its 80s peak, County darts was nowhere near TV was it?

In that same thread, Deluxe are STILL being blamed for everything, and thank it was Scott saying that potential sponsors and broadcasters wouldn't be impressed by the sniping on facebook. Yeah, the head of Dave is a member off all the sodding groups.

Back in the eighties county was fucking huge and I was at many games with full houses. The places were heavingThe Ginge Reaper wrote:You used to get hundreds attending some county games though, Ive seen pictures somewhere.
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Back in the 80's and early 90's the best players in the world played county. Bristow, Lowe, Wilson, Taylor, Priestley all the world champs, every big name. It would be the equivalent now of having Taylor, Lewis, Wade, Anderson Wright and the rest playing in your local WMC for a £4 entrance fee, they would be Quinn round the block from 7am to get in.M H wrote:Back in the eighties county was fucking huge and I was at many games with full houses. Nowadays no cunt is interested in Doggy Dawson and Dennis Harbour etc. The only people bothered are the players who have no ambition to better themselves against the elite of the game and officials who if it wasn't for county darts would be sat in old folks homes with soup dribbling down their chins.
Fuck county darts. It's fucking shit.
