So I've just received a screenshot of a statement put on the hate site that was set up to rival this one, it would be easy to make ourselves members and defend, but we will never ( not even for 1 minute) be a member of the "hate page", the statement was put on by Howard Miller, and the other sector are slaughtering us basically for pointing out valuable information to other darters. As most are aware, Lincolnshire sponsor its players, we booked hotels etc for our players for the Isle of Man comp soon after last years event, at this point there was no changes to any schedule, so imagine our shock when we find out last week the we have needlessly booked all our players in for the Thursday night comp expecting it to be a singles event, it is now a mixed triples. Others were just as shocked as when they booked in October there was no mention of these changes anywhere, this has cost our county money, and we are understandably annoyed, especially when we read comments from people trying to act like Bussiness people and saying that we advertise our comps to early?????. I also don't understand whey people continue to turn everything that we say on here into a negative or a personal attack, it was done to save other people a nights accommodation and a days pay from work, . For the record, we would have still booked our flights and accommodation from the Thursday, but from a Bussiness stance, surely anyone can see that we would have booked the Friday morning flight and not paid all that extra money for our sponsored players to play in a mixed triples on Thursday night. As promoters we totally get the idea of trying to appeal to all darters and replacing the mixed pairs for the mixed triples, it also makes no difference to us what the schedule is (providing we know in advance). We also feel that a change of day for a ranked singles event is important, so much so that really it ought to have been put on social media in BIG LETTERS READING........ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!. Howard, clearly you didn't achieve your goal of letting people know about the Isle of Man changes, but now everyone does, so in actual fact, we have helped you. For the record, this was not a personal attack on anyone, and those that know us will know , for us face to face is best and none can misconstrue words. Finally, anyone reading, the Isle of Man tournament is a great darts tournament, it is organised extremely well and is definitely one to attend, in actual fact, all the EDO events on the whole are fantastic events and extremely well run, we must remember, "hiccups" happen all the time at any comp. we must also add that we have promoted this comp on our own page, believe us, it would be far worse if this comp was not the success it ought to be, we will be there and encouraging as many others to attend.
We will all have a good time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically they assumed the IoM Open was keeping the same schedule as last year, they booked the flights for Thursday so players could get there for a singles event, and it turns out the Thursday night is now only non-ranking mixed triples.

So they basically fucked up by not checking first.

I would like my work to hire a plane and write COME TO WORK in the sky on Monday mornings. It would help me remember to turn up and would also remind other people who can't think for themselves to do it.

Ha, this should put some pressure on their Darts For All rhetoric. Let's see. It was part of a bigger conversation, he didn't just blurt it out, and confirmed that it's down to the BDO as to how they fill their 8 GSoD spots.
