Dart players throwing action/technique

That you would love to rip apart and get them to start from scratch

(1) Steve Douglas

The bloke obviously has the game (no pun intended) but his action is 1 i feel will crumble under pressure.

(2) Tony eccles

To much to go wrong with this throw, Tony was BDO No1, the bloke has loads of talent, but his action to much can go wrong for it to work time and time again to the high standard he has to perform at within the pdc

barney.

the smoothness, flow and speed isn't there anymore. when he's not playing well, it looks incredibly weak and shite.

Tabern. Love the guy, but how the hell does he not put one in the side of the markers head.

Wes Newton. That lean of his. Gotta be difficult to do that the same degree repeatedly.

The speed of many of the young dutch players renders their actions useless under pressure, especially with three darts in hand going for simgle double

I also tend to do better with one dart at a double than in having 3 darts at the thing

You sure about that? Literally? This must be tested.

I think its about rhytem, because one thing about the dutch lads is they tend to be good counters, so dont hesitate on the combinations, bang, bang, bang, but with three in hand, if you miss the first one it is difficult to maintain a rhytem and that us where they struggle bigtime.

I was going to say I'm a good counter myself but I'm playing tonight so that would be tempting fate. Its the 3 at the double thing that gets me, Klassen is the prime example if it, he doesn't even look like getting close at times yet will kick the following leg off 180 / 177 / 174 before they've taken the sheet down.
I have often heard Bristow on Sky about it very bluntly saying neither Jelle or MVG will win a PDC major because of it. Others like Painter over do the wee break before going for a double and I think affects him negatively as well. But if I was the Dutch kids and Bristow was commenting on my flaws you could do worse than listen.

Course there is no right or wrong answer but for me, I find taking my time to set myself before my first dart helps but any break in between darts 1&2 or 2&3 and I might as well throw the fucking things over my shoulder.
Chizzy is probably trying to work out what to go for though

Eccles is without a shadow of a doubt the best player in the world throwing with straws instead of flights, it seems to suit his throw. And I would say Denis Ovens is the best player int he world throwing flight first
