The old guard and the new Yorkshire lads will keep lakeside going.
A free Eclipse HD from the Unicorn bargain bin to whoever guesses correctly who said that.If my ambition at 16 was to spend all my weekends stuck in a leisure centre having to talk to the likes of droopid and be quiet while a load of blokes have their financial security jeapordised, I'd have to wonder where I went wrong in terms of social circles at school.

I forgot about the 60 year old Phillips being the future of the BDOjrwfsl147 wrote:Nothing different from any other year.
3 or 4 lads towards the top of the Amateur BDO change codes. Inevitably some of them fail in the PDC, and some of them carve out a career.
At the same time either a few new faces emerge to replace them, or some existing players improve their game. Maybe a few of them take advantage of the void at the top, win a tournament or two and gain confidence which makes them a better player. No one would have seen Scott Mitchell improving so much 2 years ago when he could barely break an 80 average at Lakeside.
Martin Phillips and Jamie Hughes won two of the Amateur BDO majors last year, neither of whom even qualified for Lakeside last year.
