A moron knows that by joining an army you could get sent anywhere to kill innocents, if you are a pacifist you dont join a fuckin army.
I think any invading soldier that dies in a country they have no place being in is their own fault and i wont shed a single tear.

you simply cannot invade a country on lies and destroy lives, claim some disgusting "for the better good" or "we were only following orders" bullshit.
Innocent people in their homelands getting killed by invading forces will only strengthen the resolve of those people to retaliate.
Exactly. And the soldiers ARE to blame, because when you have a military history like that of the US or the UK, the law of averages suggests you are going to be sent to illegally invade someone else's land at least once. So these soldiers do have a choice. They just can't think for themselves because of a lack of intelligence.

They could all stand up and say 'we aren't going to fight this war' and the politicians who wanted to send them there would be fucked, but they haven't got the guts to stand up to authority. I also hate it when they are called 'brave'. What's 'brave' about bombing the crap out of a country from thousands of feet in the air? When you have ALL the odds on your side, better tanks, better planes, better warships, better logistics, etc. Nothing brave about that.

Most of the dumbfuck army folks I have been unfortunate enough to meet are delighted at being sent to war. it's like they have been waiting for that moment all their lives, a chance to take another persons life.

Had to train a guy who had just come out of the army and kept telling me to cheer up as I could be fighting in Afghan, surprisingly we didn't see eye to eye from that moment on.

To clarify i am not anti british , just british goverment and its war policy.

i like others feel for the families of soldiers killed in the world wars as they were conscripted men sent to fight, but people who join an army of their own free will and get killed in a country they have no place being in wont get a single ounce of sympathy from me.

For everones benefit, please sign up for the army.

P.P.S If you could ask your station be fast tracked.

I've met similar types, they weren't all bad but many were pretty aggressive. Got threatened by one in a minivan provided by the company I worked for once because I'd just been sacked by them (American company) and was on the phone to my brother having ummm a bit of a rant about Americans, and this fat Yank overhead me and started saying 'hey that's my country you're talking about. How dare you insult MY president, and MY people, when you're in my bus and work for my business!'. I responded that it was a private conversation and that it is no more his company or bus than it is mine, as we were at the same level/payscale. He said that he used to be in the military and that he would have no problem throwing me off the bus or kicking my ass and that because he's American the law wouldn't touch him, because it's an American owned company and he 'don't have to answer to no-one'. I said he might be mistaken about that but his gf told him (and me) to shut up and that was pretty much the end of it.

Stran certainly seemed a little highly strung on this thread, so much so that I almost mistook him for a professional darts player. "Don't call me and my fellow soldiers violent or I'll punch you in the throat and stamp on your head!" I hope he's feeling better now, can't be good to have all that anger inside.

you should have looked him right in the eye and told him 9/11 was deserved and it was a pity it did not happen anymore, and with some luck the arabs would turn their shithole of a country into a graveyard the likes the world has never seen.

Watch their reaction, and stand there smiling and tell him if he dont like it whats he gonna do about it.

I have to admit that was the gist of the conversation on the phone with my brother - about them deserving another attack (can't remember if I said Pearl Harbour or 9/11). Probably shouldn't have said it but I was in a bad mood that day :D

That was probably what made him a bit angry. When we got off the bus I was preparing for him to have a go at me, and even walked the same way as him and his gf through the city centre for a while, but realised he wasn't interested in continuing the argument or fighting.

You should learn to read properly. I had and have no intention of fighting anyone, but will defend myself if necessary.

exactly, I am no tough guy, but will stand by anything i say and believe in, might get me a beating but it wont change a damn thing.

The paedos response is typical of most short sighted ignorant stupid people, they claim freedom of speech is everything until you say something they dont like or agree with and their first reaction is to try shut you up or intimate or threaten you for the very same thing these "freedom lovers" claim to believe in.

Excellent point. I missed this one earlier I think. 15 of the hijackers were Saudi.

I probably shouldn't have reopened this thread, some fierce debate in here, but I'm starting to get a bit of a tin foil hat. How come some of these supposed hijackers showed up alive after the event? Why did Tower 7 just collapse? Why is there no sign of a plane anywhere near the pentagon? Too many questions, too few answers.

no no no.you just shut up ,stop questioning anything, believe what you are told and wave that yank flag around or you will let the terrorists win.
Lets play the patriot act games.

God forbid you actually dare to question the story on anything you would be hauled in as a terrorist, water boarded , deprived of your human rights.

Remember America who kills innocent woman and children, are universally despised and a cancer on this globe as bad as any militant arab nutjob are, but all we get is the yank victim mentality.

Yep, we don't see much sympathy from Yanks when anyone else is suffering in the world. I've always been a bit sceptical about how a plane flies into a building, incinerating everyone and everything in it, but somehow a terrorist's passport blows out of the tower and lands on one of the street below in perfect condition :D

The way the twin towers went down looked like a controlled demolition. And Tower 7 should never have collapsed as it wasn't even hit. But the weirdest will always be how a jumbo jet got through a tiny gap in the pentagon, or that it could fly at top speed at such a low altitude (impossible) perform a 180 degree turn and then head for the pentagon still only about 50 feet off the ground

The spineless British government deciding not to help out British citizens who were being waterboarded was shameful too. I am no fan of religion and certainly have my issues with Islam, but we have a duty to help our citizens when they are in trouble abroad.

The dumbest thing about the waterboarding? People will say ANYTHING to stop you torturing them, so you won't even get any good information. They'll probably say it was dumb luck or "the aspies did it".

I've heard so many claims, counter claims, conspiracy theories. Watched a very well put together film/documentary and to be honest haven't a clue what really happened.

I really find it hard to believe that any western government would commit murder on that scale
