We play pool and darts.

But, we do refer to shots in cue sports and darts, so British people insulting Merkins for saying shoot instead of play are being a bit dense and should stop referring to shots in darts.
(It does sound funny to hear "shoot darts", even through we're used to "shoot pool" from exposure to American culture.)

Maybe it's just that British people don't have as many guns. We'd be much more likely to knife darts, or, particularly in Scotland, glass darts.

(Bonus language difference: in cue sports we pot balls rather than sink them. A pot is also a shot that sinks a ball).

I have training sessions 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. It's a long road, but with the support of my boyfriend i will succeed.
