Yes if you want me to.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:56 pmCould you elaborate on the bolded? The real ssjsa wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:42 pmI get that Senna, but you get players like Michael who is a really decent person who perhaps doesn't come across well, and the likes of MVG who is great in front of the cameras, but is a completely different individual when you meet him in person.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:36 pmHe doesn't always come across well during games. The real ssjsa wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:34 pmWhy? Is it because you don't like Michael as a player or have found him a not particularly likeable individual.
Personally I think he is an amazing darts player, and having met him on multiple occasions, have to say I have found him to be a very well rounded individual and a genuinely nice guy who always has time for darts fans.
Nor in interviews.
Remember following the end of a World Series Final event when held at Braehead in Glasgow, myself and another 3 of us were staying at the same hotel as MVG, and following him winning the event and returning to the hotel, both Michael and his Manager told us to fuck off when we asked for a picture with him.

AgreedTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:59 pm I imagine Smith is down to earth in person, but there's a lot of instances of him being a nob in darting interviews and I think sometimes he comes across as petulant on social media as well. Might sound harsh but I don't think he's the most intelligent man in the world, so I think it comes across worse

Re: 2024 Premier League
Don't disagree with your post. I can completely understand why some have a negative opinion of Michael based on his interviews, but for me in his defence he has been in the spotlight all of his darting life and like all of us at that age he will have come across at some times immature.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:59 pm I imagine Smith is down to earth in person, but there's a lot of instances of him being a nob in darting interviews and I think sometimes he comes across as petulant on social media as well. Not trying to change the opinion of the vast majority of the forum, other than to say I think Michael is a decent young man.

Humphries has a tendency to drop his levels when he starts with 110+ averages
