Indeed.
However, in your initial post you asked why are other users "rimming" Littler. A truly bizarre comment given his age and recent form.
Indeed.

Scott Mitchell to miss out on a tour card. He will be in the top 16-20 range on the Challenge Tour.
David Schlichting to get to a Modus final night again. He will not get close to winning a tour card however. On the Development Tour he will be ranked in the top 32.
Patrik Kovács to win a tour card. His best result will be a last 16 in a Players Championship event and he will qualify for a Euro Tour event.
I'm also all aboard the hype train. Fallon and Rock's comeups have been fantastic. What Littler is doing is undoubtedly history making. I am just sharing my reasoned predictions howeverTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 1:16 pm Sometimes it’s fun to get wrapped up in the hype even if sky are the ones pushing it. I’ve been wrapped up in the hype when Fallon won against evetts and Mensur, when Josh Rock got on tour and now with Littler. It’s fun, and Littler deserves the hype he’s getting it’s ridiculous what he’s doing
It is perfectly reasonable to suggest Littler will have a similar year to Rock’s first but at the same time it’s not like this Worlds was the first time we’ve seen him we’ve known about Littler for ages now and seen him chuck 105s for fun and he’s proven now he can do it against the pro’s with no fear. He hasn’t played a top 10 player yet but to dismantle the likes of Campbell and RVB the way he did is scaryThe Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 1:21 pmI'm also all aboard the hype train. Fair assessment however there are many players around with Littler's ability and a few who are clearly better and expected to take about 50-60% of the available places in TV finals (MVG, Humphries, Price, Smith, Cross?)TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 1:33 pmIt is perfectly reasonable to suggest Littler will have a similar year to Rock’s first but at the same time it’s not like this Worlds was the first time we’ve seen him we’ve known about Littler for ages now and seen him chuck 105s for fun and he’s proven now he can do it against the pro’s with no fear. Scott Williams to make the 2025 Masters suddenly doesn't look like such a big shout!thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 5:51 pm I am 8 hours ahead of most of you, 祝大家新年快乐!
Will do a proper tour card winner list when the entries are released, likewise when the tour cards have been allocated I'll do a full Worlds qualification list based on this year's criteria
MvG to be the big dog and win 3 Premier titles, Michael Smith and Rob Cross 2, Dobey (a ranking one for him this time), Cross, Humphries and Price to win the rest, with England winning the World Cup for the first time without Taylor
Littler, Rock, Dimi, Ross Smith and Scott Williams to reach a final of a Premier event, Littler to win a World Series title having missed out on Prem selection (he'll also win 2 ProTours and a Euro Tour)
I was going to suggest Littler gets into the top 32, but if he starts off on a hundred grand with nothing to defend, that's not much of a prediction! Top 16 for him (he may be there in 3 days!), same as Rock, Scott Williams to enter the top 24. They will be joined in the top 32 by Pietreczko (obviously), Joyce and Gian can Veen. Doets will end up not too far away, Hempel to rise up the ranks, Rowby-John and Soutar won't rise as they're defending a lot, but they will maintain their current spots in the rankings. Bunting to flatter to deceive again, being 'on form' for much of the year, but winning fuck all and being in about the same spot in the rankings. Noppert, Clayton, Dirk and Wade to fall fairly sharply in the rankings, Kuivenhoven, de Zwaan, Burton, Klose and Sedlacek to keep their cards, King, Gawlas, Vinny, Slevin and Edhouse to lose theirs, staying loyal to Mensur, he keeps his unless he stops turning up to events. Whitlock and White will be threatened, though they won't fall through the trap door quite yet
The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 1:01 pmIt's also not unreasonable to predict that he will not reach a TV final. As I have predicted and I'm sticking to it.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:59 pmOkay, so 1 poster. The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:55 pmShenmue predicted him to win a major. Others predicted he would get to major finals and win a TV eventsennafan24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:51 pmPerhaps because he's a 16 year old who has made the QF stage at Ally Pally? And also averaged over 105 in two of his games?
Nobody has predicted he will win a major either.
Who would you prefer be hyped in this thread? Mitchell? Schlichting? Kovács?
Gentle specified a World Series event, which are not majors. Others specified he would make a TV final, not win one.
Will he achieve any of these things? Perhaps not, but they are not an unreasonable prediction given the form he's shown at Ally Pally.
Players have been hyped up for a lot less. Usually by yourself.
