Gareth Roberts used to write for the show, including The Unicorn and the Wasp.

But became a non-person for not joining the faith and now everyone fantasises about his death and it's fine.

I looked up David McCallum who died.

Found a site called 'Beyond 1989' which gives an alternative history of Who beyond its cancellation. David McCallum is the 8th Doctor.

It's a made-up alternative history of the show. Although it seems partially based on the Virgin New Adventures books and Big Finish.

I've read several of the "lost stories" featuring the original doctors. Peter Davison meeting Queen Victoria was very good but I'm not familiar with new adventures

They were intended to continue from where the TV series left off, so they all have McCoy as the Doctor.

Why would people be put off because it was a female character?
I mean most of it was awful but nothing to do with her being female

I hate to say I've never seen an episode
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
