News out from Viaplay today - they are basically done! Pulling out from the Baltics, and imminent winding down/sell off of the UK business.
Implications for darts in the UK - PDC Euro Tour currently on there. Wonder if DAZN could be interested, or the prestigious Sporty Stuff TV and the billions of pounds they have.

Bummer!
Been really enjoying the darts coverage.
Staying in NL and Scandy for the time being. But doesn't sound good.

Netherlands seems one of the only new markets they are keeping.

It's the first sports channel I've ever paid for and I think it's really good value. F1 is a bit of a bonus and some championship games they put on. But I'd pay just for the darts since they started with the ET.

Scottish football got all their money for League Cup/Scottish Cup paid in advance. Viaplay cup coverage this weekend will be awkward.

Bit of a misleading title.

Yeah, think you are right, sorry.
Looking at the report though I doubt the Viaplay name will last much longer outside the Nordic markets.

Yeah will be interesting what happens next year. I doubt the NL/Scandi market is enough to financially support the TV coverage of the ET Tour.
But I doubt the PDC want to lose it.
Back to streaming only?
Or try and find another partner?

Viaplay NL still going strong. Watching the PL on there now. Great service.
Only slight complaint I have is that in the afternoon sessions of the UK Open they just have UK comms on.
Evening sessions then they have Studio (presenter and two guests normally).
