Humphries appears to be the obvious choice sadly.

If Chizzy can sharpen up on his doubles and hit key shots at the right time, I believe he can do it if Smith can.

Does anyone think Wade will win one?
Not fond of him but it’ll cement his place as one of the greatest if he did.

Not anymore. He’s had ups and downs in form for a long time but this time round it seems his passion is just not there at all

He still has the ability to go on a run and he’s stayed in the top 10 for years, so has the longevity.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 1:51 amNot anymore. He’s had ups and downs in form for a long time but this time round it seems his passion is just not there at all
I suppose his best chance was in 2012 and he blew it against Lewis

Was it Mardell or Part who said that this is the age of the scorers, where you can't just rely on finishing to win you games if you can't give yourself the chances, especially in the Worlds format where it's unlikely all of the top players will fall. I think his semi-final last year typifies that, he was competitive in large parts, but Bully Boy just had that extra gear and won pretty comfortably in the end

It would be nice if people stopped having the game of their lives against Chizzy, yes

I don't think he's there yet, but he's surely far from the finished article

Wade needs legs to start at 301 at this point.thegentle wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 2:35 amWas it Mardell or Part who said that this is the age of the scorers, where you can't just rely on finishing to win you games if you can't give yourself the chances, especially in the Worlds format where it's unlikely all of the top players will fall. Re: Who Are The Future First-Time PDC World Champions?
its taken Smith over 10 years to win 1, MVG only on 3 and it would not surprise me if Rock never wins one. ITS FUCKIN HARD
