Gawlas-Burnett
Jim Williams-Białecki
Jim is in his first year
He could knock someone out I suppose
Yep, he's one win away from knocking Meulenkamp from the top 64 and possibly knocking out Smith and Gawlas
I see, nice one. I think he will beat Bialecki, I think Meulenkamp is definitely fucked surely someone low ranked will go on a good run
If either MissK, Zonneveld or Jimbob win their 1st round game Ron is out of the top 64

There are a lot of tricky ties there for that group of players, but Meulenkamp is almost certainly fucked as it's highly highly unlikely every single result goes his way. Gawlas must be fairly content, now comes the hard bit

He will be next years John Brown/Jake Jones. Complete waste of a card.

Jeff Smith is sending Dirk a crate of Molsons as we speak. He's still on the brink, but now I think Murnan is more or less safe, even if Cammie wins tonight, it would take a very deep run to at least the quarters from van Trijp or Hendriks to knock him out of contention

David Cameron also lurking, but he'd need a semi-final

Still a lot of wasters on tour

We're a long way from having 128 really good card holders, without having 10 or so who are completely useless

There are certainly 128 quality players out there, but there are always a few who slip through the cracks in any given year. Q-School in its current guise definitely isn't the most efficient way to distribute tour cards, although on the flip side, the cream should rise to the top eventually, the best players all make it eventually even if they have to go a roundabout route to their tour cards

The best of the best at Q School usually make it first go- see Durrant, Cadby, Barney in recent years

It's the next tier of decent players, often from BDO roots, who choke until they finally fall over the line to a card- like Menzies, the Queef, Waites the first time round and so on

Sedlacek, Tricole, Veenstra etc fall into the second category imo. Although Sedlacek had a card before, he has form for being very shite, under the radar, at times in floor events.

And then of course you have the likes of Ratajski, who almost forced his way into the top 64 from scratch, flopped at Q-School but got into the top 64 a year later anyway! He certainly had a roller-coaster ride in 2017-18!

Regarding Sedlacek, he's been decent but not outstanding on the Challenge Tour, hence he's not played every event on the floor, but he's been utterly dominant in the Eastern European qualifiers for the Euro Tour which got him to Ally Pally and the Euros, I wonder if he's better off without a tour card seeing as the likes of Krcmar and Gawlas won't be in those qualifiers next year

Whats up with krcmar and Gawlas are the rules changing
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

They are tour card holder, so for European Tour qualifiers they will be in with the rest of the tour card holders rather than with the rest of the Eastern Europeans without tour cards

That's Jimbob guaranteed to end the season inside the top 64, a good achievement for someone in their first full year on tour. Adam Gawlas has to wait a little longer to have his tour card status rubber-stamped for next season, though I'm sure it'll come sooner rather than later

Speed jobber vinny said his new management team have helped him with nutrition etc and he says he is going to work hard on his game. All players come out with shite like this, but a focused Vinny should beat mad cammy

Indeed, a small chance we lose Murnan if van Trijp goes on a run, but I think it's highly highly unlikely that Hendriks and Cameron do
