I saw the trailer for it on Sunday night and I didn't even recognise Tegan. I recognised Ace and knew I must have missed something with this other woman. Bizarre.

I wonder what the odds are that she'll turn out to have been gay this whole time...

Yeah could be trans. Chibnall is the most superficial writer on earth so he's not likely to manage anything compelling but we live in hope.

Oh did you see about the overnight ratings for Easter Sunday?

2.2 million. The lowest in the entire history of the show by a mile. Even inside its own present day context this was quite tremendous.

The Doctor told Yaz that yeah she'd romance her up for sure but her life is just too complicated. She also told Yaz that she's one of the greatest people she's ever known and my eyeballs rolled out of my face. Yaz is the most cardboard non-character on tv who's had a giant crush on the Doctor ever since... they decided to crowbar it in one day because yay queer or something?

It's desperately weak. It was never in the show and their chemistry is non-existent. Truly bizarre viewing. It doesn't even feel like television.

In real life though rofls... look at these two. It does make you wonder how an actual writer might be doing it. Everyone in this era has got ruined.

Yar it's got the BBC baked right through it. Probably the only reason why the show still exists at this point.

There was an ep where Stephen Fry was playing some top level spy guy and he says this woman can't be the Doctor because he's read the files and they say the Doctor is a man. Now the Doctor can always be an arrogant arsehole and all the rest of it... but would he/she ever react by grading genders like this? Yuck. Little short of vandalism of the character. This is politics.

You have a gift for brevity, Emu. At least it's almost over now.

I doubt if Chinballs will resist a girl-girl kiss at regeneration point. Superficial stuff like this is all he does. He turned the Doctor into a woman, introduced another Doctor who is a black woman (and she's infinitely better than Jodie, woops) and established that the first Doctor is a black girl. Probably regards himself as some kind of hero.

I suspect its biggest supporter is Rod Studd. People like him. And are they watching it? Are they feck.
