Which flights are better, kites or pears? I want to switch away from standards but I don't know which one to pick

With flights it is all about trial and error, I don't change the type of flights and stems I use and have not done so for almost 20 years although i have tried different barrels and weights of each barrel ive tried.
Personally I use a medium Harrow Alamo stem with dark colored pear shape flights (The dark blue ones but the black with the clear border if i can't get the blue ones)

In all seriousness, One tip I will give tonight is....
When trying out new things with your throw or you notice something that works well when throwing that you have not noticed before, Make a written note of it when you finish practicing and then read it again before practicing the next time, If it continues to work well then keep the written note of it and refer back to it each time before practice until you have it drilled into your head.

Do you think the colour of the flights matter? I have a lot of different ones because they were nice. I wonder if it's better to have black flights or something bright to aim at. I tried every colour yet my game doesn't seem to improvedaveboygreen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 11:07 pmWith flights it is all about trial and error, I don't change the type of flights and stems I use and have not done so for almost 20 years although i have tried different barrels and weights of each barrel ive tried.

Personally I use dark colored flights because it allows me to sight the points in the board easier so I can aim at the previous point in the board rather than trying to go in off the barrel or flight.
