The virus that causes COVID-19 probably jumped from Steve Egerton's carpet to humans, the head of an international team investigating the origins of the disease said on Tuesday.

So the BDO has become the personal sanctioning org for the Jackasslickin events. No county no lakeside no Masters etc.
Des has now become a poor mans version of Olly. The org is his and the board is just there to rim him and say yes. Olly at least had some players and legitimate events. Des has a box of horse hair braiding combs, Medusa and the piss potter cup with no event to award it at.

There should be a super cup. 4 world champions. PDC, BDO, WDF, MAD. Put it on Sky

A fantastic sequece of WTFs here. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/other-sp ... d-24203619
World darts champion "felt like a murder suspect" after taser threats over trophy "theft"
Wayne Warren won the BDO World Darts Championship in 2020 but found himself faced with police on his doorstep months later demanding he returned the trophy
---
He said: “It was a Sunday morning when two police officers knocked at my door. My five-year-old boy was hysterical and ran upstairs crying, and the neighbours were wondering what a meat wagon was doing outside my house.
“They police were laughing about it, and told me to go about my day as normal. But a few hours later, when I was eating my Sunday lunch with the cup on the table – there was another knock on the door, and this time there were three of them.
“I had done nothing wrong, but they had Taser guns and they told me, 'We have got to take the trophy with us or you will be arrested for theft.'
“It was humiliating, easily the worst moment of my darting career by far. People in my street thought I must have committed a murder. I was fuming, absolutely fuming.
“As a world champion, people in my locality look up to me, but the word spread like wildfire that I'd had the police round and I was getting calls and text messages all night.
“You only dream of winning a world championship at my age - I was going to finish work as a roofer and go full-time playing darts competitively or on the exhibition circuit. At least, that was the plan.
“But I only got £23,000 of the prize money when it should have been £100,000, which is not right. And as the reigning champion, I didn't see why I shouldn't keep hold of the trophy, which is normally how it works.
“I was never going to keep it forever. But now I have this replica, with all the previous winners engraved like the original, and I won't be keeping this one, either. This is the people's trophy, it belongs to them.
“To everyone who donated towards this new cup: I can't thank you all enough. It has has given me a new spring in my step.
“To have the police round like that left me feeling down in the dumps. It was a real kick in the guts and left my confidence low, especially with no money coming in during because of Covid, but the goodwill of ordinary darts fans has been unbelievable.
“The way I was treated was horrible, and at the back of my mind I still ask myself: 'Why me? What did I do wrong?'
“When I was setting off for work at 7am, or up a ladder in the freezing cold, it was easy to feel bitter about it – but now my faith has been restored in human kindness.”
