Can't wait to see how fast Des runs the whole ship a ground. Don't think he will sink it as the BDO more than likely to be limping along in the future just minus the world championship, and any recognizable or talented players. It will be all about county darts and piss ups in turkey and Spain where no English player will have to face his countryman in a first round match.

These losses are they only the losses for BDO or does that include the BDOE too. I thought a bunch of money was squirrelled away over there. How much of that was wasted?

BDOE is the trading arm as far as I can make out but it matters not which company takes the hit. They used to publish consolidated accounts but not any more.

The point that losing £80k to save £20k is unbelievable, still a £60k hit which no accountant would advise. The property sale proceeds must be exhausted by now so next up is the reserves

Milkmen!!!! :D :D

Paul James
Well I know Des organised leaflet drops , posters in shopping arcades etc , even got some milkmen delivering flyers with the pints, now aiming at local press, local tv and newspapers !
Just as well he is because nobody else seems bothered , but we all have our part to play , if any pub team in the locality could get 1 or 2 people to attend would fill the place , sites like this can also play a part !
Problem with big media outlets is expense .
But simple things within our control like schedules etc should be done in plenty of time .

For all his faults, at least Des is trying. They can do fuck all else when they haven't got the money. Of course such is the unprofessionalism in the BDO, they even mess up things which don't cost anything at all

I can't fault their effort really.

But if they are doing all this and the ticket sales are still woeful, then it would seem that they are fighting a losing battle.

Behave. Have they paid for FB ads? All about social media these days.

Getting milkman to leave posters with the milk...absolutely fucking embarrassing.

Not often you see Mitchell and salad in the same sentence.

Didn't they try something with social media last week and it failed miserably?
